Gas prices to go up by $2.79 Thursday
The state-owned oil refinery Petrojam has announced a $2.79 increase in the prices of gasoline as of Thursday.
A litre of E-10 87 octane will be sold for $132.62 per litre and a litre of E-10 90 for $135.46.
Automotive diesel will move up by $2.91 per litre, to sell for $130.61 while Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel will see an increase of $2.16 per litre, to sell for $135.76.
Meanwhile, the price of kerosene will move up by $2.57 to sell for $113.29 per litre.
Propane cooking gas will be increased by $2.60 per litre to sell for $49.29 while butane moves up by $2.14 to $52.71.
Petrojam says the changes in product prices are reflective of changes in the movements within the US Gulf Coast Region.
Over the past few weeks, prices have been increasing as the market reacts to the recent announcement by the United States of sanctions re-imposed on Iran.
Marketing companies will add their mark-up to the announced prices.
