Disgruntled transport operators are to meet this morning with Transport Minister Robert Montague to press their case for a fare increase in light of the rising cost of fuel and other operational costs.

The operators are being led by transport interest group Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services (TODSS).

The meeting is scheduled for 11 o' clock at the transport ministry.

Yesterday, Montague declared that no increase in bus and taxi fares would be considered by the government at this time.

But, the operators say they need a reprieve.
