16yo girl killed in domestic dispute in St Elizabeth

The police in St Elizabeth are searching for a man who allegedly killed his 16-year-old girlfriend during a domestic dispute at Big Yard in the community of Top Hill on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Vendaline Carol Anderson of Corn Piece in Hayes, Clarendon.

It is reported that about 9:00 p.m. Anderson, who was visiting the community, was babysitting in a yard when a dispute developed between her and the man, who is said to be her boyfriend.

During the dispute, the man reportedly used a knife to stab Anderson in the abdomen.

An alarm was raised.

The man then fled the scene.

Anderson was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the police are also probing separate murders in Savanna-la-mar and Hartford.

In Savanna-la-mar, 27-year-old Garnet Jones was shot dead as he and a female companion sat in a car in the town.

The woman was not hurt.

In the meantime, 36-year-old mechanic Woodrow Noble was at his home on Morass Lane when he was shot multiple times in the upper body by a gunman.

He subsequently died at hospital.
