Drought affecting water supply in sections of Manchester

Published:Thursday | August 16, 2018 | 4:16 PM

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that capacity at its Moravia Treatment plant in Manchester has fallen to 65% due to drought conditions.

The NWC says some customers will experience intermittent water supply as a result.

It says areas likely to be affected include Coleyville, Chudleigh, Sedburgh, Spring Ground, Holmwood, Mandeville Hospital and surrounding areas.

The NWC is urging customers to store water for use and advises that normal operations will resume as soon as the situation improves.
