Woman's body with throat slashed found in igloo
Detectives assigned to the Manchester Criminal Investigations Branch are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a woman that was found along the Winston Jones Highway in the parish this morning.
The police say the body is of brown complexion, medium build, about 5 feet 6 inches long and has tall, natural hair.
The woman appears to be in her late twenties.
The police say about 1:25 a.m. a team was on mobile patrol when they saw a grey Toyota Starlet motorcar parked on the roadway with the front doors open.
Checks were made and the body of the female was found wrapped in a sheet and placed in a igloo on the backseat with its throat slashed.
The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue pending identification and post-mortem examination.
