Man charged in relation to murder of businessman John Murray
The police have charged a man in relation to the murder of Clarendon businessman John Brandon Murray who was killed at a hotel in St Andrew on June 10.
Twenty-seven-year-old Christopher Chambers of a Waltham Park address in St Andrew has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Chambers is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on September 5.
The police say two other persons are expected to be charged in relation to the murder.
Murray, 47, who was of a Clarendon Park address, was shot and killed by unknown assailants at the Mayfair Hotel on West Kings House Close.
It is reported that Murray was walking on the hotel compound when he was pounced upon by unknown assailants who shot him several times.
Murray, a former footballer, was a co-founder of Sporting Central Academy in Clarendon and a partner in the popular Murray's Fish and Jerk Hut, also in the parish.
Chambers scheduled to appear before the St. Andrew Parish Court on September 5, 2018.
