Schoolboy football season set to kick off

The 2018 schoolboy football season is set to kick off this afternoon with a double-header at the Montego Bay Sports Complex in Catherine Hall, St James.

In the first game scheduled to start at 3p.m., defending Manning Cup champions Jamaica College begin their title defence against Hydel High School.

Defending daCosta Cup champions Rusea's High School will battle Green Island High School in the second game, set to start at 6 p.m.

The day will also feature 29 other games in the daCosta Cup.

Digicel, in its second stint as title sponsors, will invest $75 million over three years in the Manning Cup and Walker Cup competitions while Wisynco has agreed to invest close to $100 million in the daCosta Cup and Ben Francis Cup competitions.
