Several St Thomas students fall ill after consuming pills at school
Teachers and parents of students of a St Thomas primary school are remaining tight-lipped about an incident which resulted in about 20 pupils being rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital this afternoon.
The students fell ill reportedly after consuming unidentified pills they were sold by a man who entered the school compound.
It is reported that the man entered the school compound yesterday and today selling tablets which, he reportedly said would enhance the students’ speed.
The students reportedly began displaying signs of illness shortly after consuming the pills.
It is reported that some of the children also began acting strangely.
The police say they have launched an investigation into the matter and are currently searching for the man involved.
