NEPA creates email address to explain plastic ban

The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) has established an email address members of the public can use to get information or raise issue about the recently-announced ban on single-use plastic bags, Styrofoam and plastic straws.

The email address is

“The public may use this channel to submit suggestions, comments and queries,” NEPA said in a statement.

The agency says manufacturers and other stakeholders impacted by the ban should use the dedicated channel to make queries about the exemption application process.

The ban takes effect on January 1 next year.
