Water disruption for communities served by Dinthill NWC plant

Published:Tuesday | October 9, 2018 | 11:14 AM

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that the Dinthill plant in St Catherine will be shut down tomorrow to facilitate the installation of a bulk flow meter at the facility.

The shut down will affect areas such as Dinthill, Linstead, Deeside, Mickleton, Jew Pen, Grove Road, Rosemount, Mickleton Meadows, Commodore, Buena Vista, and sections of Wakefield.

Customers are being urged to store water for use during the period of disruption, which will be between 10:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m.

The NWC says where necessary, the trucking of water will be arranged for critical service institutions such as health facilities, schools, and the police station.
