Dahlia Garrick, head of the police Corporate Communications Unit, is among 280 members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) promoted last Friday.

Garrick joins 21 other assistant superintendents who were promoted to deputy superintendents in a list released yesterday by Commissioner of Police Major General Antony Anderson.

Seventy-nine corporals were promoted to the rank of sergeant while 179 constables were elevated to the rank of corporal.

Among the constables is Sasha-Gay Mullings, whose image was one of two used recently to promote the 2018 police week and who has since been dubbed the 'Face of the JCF'.

Anderson noted that the promotions were spread among several police divisions and formations across the island.

"Congratulations, ladies and gentlemen. This is another phase in your career. Your talent and commitment is tremendous, and with continuous self-improvement, there is little that can deter you from success. Keep doing you part to make the JCF 'a force for good'," said Anderson.
