Hemp and ganja are members of the Cannabis Sativa family, but are two distinct plants. Hemp contains a very low 0.3 per cent or less of THC while ganja can contain anywhere from 10 to 40 per cent of mind-altering THC. While ganja is primarily used for recreational and medicinal purposes, hemp is produced for its rich CBD oil while its fibrous stems have a myriad of uses for the industrial sector.
