Alleged customs conman arrested

The Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) is reporting that detectives have arrested a male suspect in relation to a customs scam.

The police say the male allegedly posed as a Jamaica Customs employee and collected sums of money in exchange for promising to help persons transact business at the agency.

They say he is suspected of fleecing several persons.

The police say intense investigations led to his arrest.

The police are asking other persons who may have been victims of the scam to contact them at 876-967-1389 or C-TOC office at 876-967-1389.
