Clarendon businessman facing ganja-related charges
Narcotics detectives have arrested and charged Clarendon businessman Lascelle Taylor in relation to ganja-related offences.
Fifty-seven-year-old Taylor, who is also a farmer, is charged with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and using premises for the storage of ganja.
Taylor is scheduled to appear in the Clarendon Parish Court on Tuesday, February 26.
The police report that about 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19 a team was in Andrew Hill district, Frankfield, Clarendon when they searched a premises and found three bags containing 28 pounds of ganja.
According to the police, the illicit drug, which has an estimated street value of $112, 000, was subsequently seized.
Taylor was arrested and later charged.
