Spaldings vandal to pay up
A man who damaged a police service vehicle in Spaldings, Clarendon, will have to compensate the force to the tune of $126,000.
Rojay Brown, 24, pleaded guilty yesterday in the Manchester Parish Court for malicious destruction of property after he and other men smashed the windscreen and back windows of a police service vehicle and attempted to set it ablaze. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 17.
Brown’s action was in protest of the police shooting and injuring of a bus operator in the Spaldings town centre.
The police are still on the hunt for two other men who are believed to be directly responsible for damaging the service vehicle.
