The Ministry of Education is reporting that the inaugural staging of the Curriculum-based Test of the Primary Exit Profile was successful.

The language arts and science assessments were administered on Tuesday morning to 41,423 students.

The Ministry acknowledged that there were a few minor obstacles but said that its examination machinery was able to successfully respond to the challenges.

It said that activities went well on Wednesday as grade six students sat mathematics and social studies across examination centres.

The Ministry is commending administrators, teachers, parents and examiners for their support over the two days of exams and asking for their continued partnership in preparing grades four and five children who will sit their Performance Task in May and June.
