Mentally-ill man held in Manchester over damage to financial institutions
A mentally-challenged man has been taken into custody for questioning by the police in Manchester in relation to damage to three financial institutions.
The police say he broke the glass windows near the entrance doors to the financial institutions on Monday but he did not enter the premises.
They say he was positively identified by surveillance footage.
The police say he’s expected to be charged soon with malicious destruction of property and breaking.
“Nothing was taken from the institutions…vaults are not easily accessible and from our interviews, we have already theorised that he does not have all his faculties in place,” a policeman told The Gleaner.
