Style 180: Tracey-Ann Lawrence
Jody-Anne Lawrence, Lifestyle Writer
In celebration of Gleaner's 180th year, we continue with our Style 180 feature to showcase the evolution of individuals' style. This week, we are featuring the transition of Office Manager Tracey-Ann Lawrence who has come a far way in a few decades but loves to keep it laid-back and cool.
Which fashion decade do you prefer and why?
I like the decade that we are in. The fun thing about this decade is that the best of 'yesteryear' is coming back in style so you are not limited. You can mix the past with the present and still be fashionable, that is the best about the present.
How would you describe your style?
I would say that my style is simple. I like to dress up if I am going somewhere special, but otherwise I keep it laid-back. I'm a simple jeans pants or shorts, T-shirt and flip-flops kind of girl.
What is the one throwback piece that you can't live without?
I think the one thing that I cannot live without is jeans. I always have to have a pair of skinny jeans. While I like bell bottoms - not the crazy wide ones - I can live without them. But my skinny jeans are a must-have.
What was your fashion faux pas?
The braids I have in the picture. I hate braids. I don't even know why I had put them in. They were painful and I hated the way they looked. I did not even wear them for long. I hate braids and I will never wear them again.
