Saint's Tami is global fashion's 'it' girl
It's official. Saint International's Tami Williams is now the Jamaican fashion darling for international fashion power-players. So says Models.com - the world's most respected authority on all things models. Earlier this week, the venerable website listed Tami among the top newcomers of the Spring Summer 2015 show season that just concluded in New York, London, Milan, and Paris. Walking a coveted 26 shows in her full show season, Tami was the top-performing Jamaican model on the fashion runways. Notably, Saint models was the only Jamaican agency on the international runways this past show season.
According to Models.com: "From the moment she emerged on the scene back in 2012, Tami Williams has been turning heads, but the full-fledged Tami takeover began this season. After gliding down the Calvin Klein runway, Tami went on to have a S/S15 full of highs, including turns at Dolce & Gabbana, Giles, Balmain, Dries van Noten, Lanvin and Kenzo.
Another fashion website The INOUBLIABLE Model Army, also listed Tami among their Top 10 New Faces of the Spring Summer 2015 season and effused praise on the Jamaican beauty as follows:
'With her long, attenuated limbs and gazelle-like neck, Williams possesses the kind of grace elegance, and poise that has been missing from fashion's runways since the days of supermodel Shalom Harlow.
The fashion weeks are the ultimate testing ground for fashion's stars of the future. Indeed, with the most celebrated models of the time strutting for the major designers, the shows bring together fashion's most influential players - magazine editors, stylists, photographers, make-up and hair stylists, art directors - who select the next generation of supermodels. A model's true international success can only be measured by the pedigree of campaigns, editorials and runway shows he or she appeared on.
One highlight for Tami's show season was walking in the Pucci show in Milan alongside some of the world's most pre-eminent supermodels, including Naomi Campbell, Joan Smalls, Mariacarla Boscono and Isabeli Fontana.
"It's such a blessing," Tami said of her successful runway season. Never taking anything for granted, Deiwght Peters explained that Tami's career is being designed for the long haul.
"It was expected, with her incredible season in New York, Paris, London and Milan, we saw it coming," he declared. Peters has been credited by many fashion outlets for his exemplary management of Tami's career. Peters also highlights that Tami has an incredible team of agencies representing her in the leading markets, including Elite (New York), Storm Models (London), WHY NOT (Milan), Elite (Paris), and Uno (Barcelona).
The Imagist, another revered fashion-insider outlet showered praise on the Jamaican fashion star.
"Now, that's what you call management. The slow bloom over two years, allowing a girl with an insanely perfect line to grow in herself. So poised, so perfectly aligned ... Tami emerged this SS15 season as one of the most striking new forces on the runway. She is that next-generation beauty a long list of clients has been waiting for," said Peters.
Tami's latest accolade places Saint International at the top of Caribbean model management, as this marks the second consecutive year that one of its new faces has hit the enviable and coveted Models.com list of hottest new faces. Last year, Saint model Kai Newman captured the honour.
