Reflecting upon a year of successes, Dittie Guise, general manager of the Montego Bay Convention Centre, and her better half, Ken Williams, gave thanks to friends and family members at a Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, November 22.
The couple opened up their sprawling Spring Farm home, which boasts a view of the Caribbean Sea, hosting some 30 guests, who travelled from near and far for what was described by Guise as a labour of love in her kitchen.
The late afternoon feast, which went until about 8:30 p.m, was highlighted by a long, beautifully decorated centre table, adorned with purple tablecloth, lots of flowers and a variety of red and white wines.
Guise, Williams and Executive
Chef Randie Anderson presented an extensive and delicious meal,
satiating the appetites while feeding the souls with turkey, ham,
escoveitched fish, roasted beef and what has become known as the Dittie
Guise Macaroni and Cheese speciality.
It was an
afternoon that allowed guests to mingle while catching up on old time
It was a feast that will remain in the
minds of those who enjoyed not just the warmth of the Saturday
afternoon, but the kindness that emanated from the home of the couple
who have returned home after residing in the United States for many
