Island Dolls unveils holiday collection
Holiday dolls anyone? Look no further than Island Dolls for some of the most elegant, classy and en vogue holiday dolls which have been adorned with designs made on our little island.
On the heels of the collection made for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October (in which more than $100,000 from the sale of the dolls was donated to the Jamaica Cancer Society), comes the first Christmas collection by the 21-year-old company. Beverley Robotham-Reynolds tells Outlook that, after the collection in October, her customers kept asking for a Christmas collection and, after 'sleeping on it', she and her team got to work, developing this sophisticated holiday line.
Just in time for the Yuletide season, these dolls are perfect for collectors or to add a sparkle to your Christmas decorations.
The holiday collection is made using fashion dolls. They are simple but exquisite as their outfits are made from some of the most luxurious fabrics, such as sequins and silk. Robotham-Reynolds, who is no stranger to doing special dolls, has in the past garnered official licences to do merchandise for the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup, the 2003 World Netball Championship, the Reggae Boyz, and Miss Lou.
She notes that, although there are eight dolls in the collection, custom designs are available where changes can be made to the existing design such as a hairstyle or outfit colours. The holiday collection is available at stores throughout the island and at our airports.
