Winston Sill/Freelance Photographer Don Creary celebrates his Birthday with Family and Friends, held at Ribbiz, inside Acropolis, Barbican on Tuesday night December 30. Here are Brian George (right), President and CEO, SVL, and his sons Christopher and Matthew and friend Terry Lee David (left).

Ribbiz Ultra Lounge sizzled recently as the Barbican Centre hot spot threw a birthday celebration for director, Don Creary. What better way to ring in a new year than surrounded by family and friends, as many turned out to show love and support. Joined by fellow directors Brian Ribbi Chung and Kamal Bankay and his wife, Ayesha, Don was in good hands and the highest of spirits.

Guests were treated to hors d'oeuvres including curried goat, wanton, vegetable spring rolls, jerked BBQ wings, mac 'n' cheese balls, and coconut fish skewers while enjoying the musical selections of DJ's Copper Ash of Coppershot and Audley. At the stroke of midnight, Don and Ayesha Creary unveiled and cut the cake to officially welcome the birthday. The cake was an Alana Williams original, made in the shape of Macallan Single Malt Scotch bottle, one of the connoisseur's favourite.

Well wishers from several

members of the growing crowd ensued, as did the revelry that continued till the wee hours of the morning. Out to celebrate with the Ribbiz director and food guru were Gregory and Michelle Mayne, Garth and Kimisha Walker, Marshall Peterkin, Carlo Redwood, Al and Cindy Edwards, Richard and Andrea Creary, Marcia McDonnough, Kay and Colin Smith, Desron Graham, Tanny Shirley, Brian George, Stephen Steele, and Josina Duncan, Stephen McHugh, Alrick Pryce, Amanda McCreath and Zane Carmichael, Stephen Price, Saleem Lazarus and many others.
