It is spring, and in Jamaica, it's more like the beginning of a long summer, with the Carnival road march a week away and parties non-stop, many would like to sparkle, and with flash tattoos, you can do so without fear of someone snatching your gold or permanently mark your skin.

Now sometimes you might not want to be bothered with the feeling of actual jewellery. The possibility of losing them in the crowd is not something you look forward to. A metallic flash tattoo is a playful trend. The tasteful, must-have come in different styles. For the Bohemian chic, you can always use the feathers and stripes around the wrist or upper arm.

There are the necklace-inspired trends, henna and tribal-inspired designs as well as beautiful designs for the everyday woman. However, if you are not into the metallic trend, there are a few that are done in black that does give the illusion of a real tattoo.

These are easy to apply. If you ever placed a fake tattoo from the gum wrapper while attending primary school, you are able to put these on. Take off the protective plastic strip, place the flash face down, use a wet cloth on the back of the paper rub for a few seconds and remove paper.

If after a fun weekend at the beach you don't want to return to work with the flash tattoo, it is easy to remove. Just use rubbing alcohol to wipe it off.
