B3 Caribbean Magazine launches Parenting EXPO

For the past four years, B3 Caribbean Magazine has been hosting The Big Baby Shower, which targets expectant mothers and provides a critical guide to becoming a new parent. This year, in celebration of its fifth year, the event has been rebranded as The B3 Parenting Expo.

According to CEO of the magazine, Michelle Gordon, "As part of our five-year anniversary, we made the decision to expand the reach of the expo based on identifying a general need, as well as feedback from past events. The expo will now expand its reach to a wider cross section of parents, going beyond the bump and baby, to now include all other aspects of parenting, from diapers to diplomas. Babies grow quickly, and parents have questions and need guidance every step of the way. To that end, we are delighted that the expo has grown significantly and is now endorsed by the National Parenting Commission."

The expo will include several parenting workshops at the event and will kick off at a pre-expo event titled 'Paving the Path'. Sponsored exclusively by NCB and ATL, Paving the Path is a key resource event for parents who are interested in learning the practical, modern-day realities of securing the best future for their children from an educational and sociological standpoint.

B3 MaterniTea Party

On Saturday, May 2, expectant mothers will gather for the B3 MaterniTea Party, a very big baby shower where mothers-to-be will have access to a host of resources and information for their journey to motherhood. This event will give patrons an opportunity to interact with other mothers, as well as sponsors, while engaging in an evening of facts, fun, and lots of favours. For a fee of $3,500, one lucky mother will go home with a furnished nursery, which will be raffled at the event.

On May 3, the events culminate with an extraordinary Parenting Expo featuring more than 40 booths where patrons will have an opportunity to interact with parenting brands not just in Jamaica, but from around the world. Using the tag line 'From diapers to diplomas', the expo will also feature live seminars ranging from child-care to education.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., sponsors and exhibitors will provide a wide range of services and one-on-one consultation with attendees at the expo.

Tickets for this event will cost $1,000 and is free for children under 12. However, persons attending the MaterniTea Party will not be required to pay an additional fee. Organisers are encouraging persons who wish to attend the event to purchase their event passports early in order to benefit from discounts at participating sponsors outlets prior to the

B3 Parenting Expo, which coincidentally culminates at the start of Child's Month.
