The brother and sister duo, Duane and Teasea Bennett, have moved beyond just dreaming for the past 12 years and living the dream with Reve Jewellery.

Known for their fabulous jewellery pieces, Reve have come out with a new line.

Duane, director of concept artwork and design, is the creative side of the duo, and admits that it is his love for people, lifestyle, food and culture that gives him inspiration. He describes the pieces as wearable art pieces.

However, they are moving beyond beautiful statement pieces, as they have added cute little pouches and more of a lifestyle niche to their accessories. As it pertains to their pouches, it was important that they had something that stayed true to their DNA - and the siblings are Jamaican to the bone. So the paintings of black women, done by Duane on the pouches, are coined from popular Jamaican slangs: 'bag a mouth', for the voluptuous lips, and 'bumpy head gyal', for the Bantu knot lovers, just to name a few. It was important for the pieces to reflect Jamaica by showing the artistry and creativity of the countries folk.

They truly pushed the envelope and stepped out of the box when they decided to go into skin and haircare products with their shea butter line for the skin, and the Brother Sister Care conditioner for the hair.

Director of marketing, sales and public relations, Teasea, mentioned that customers and persons were always curious about what they used on their skin and hair, so it was not a difficult decision to try the concept. Duane, who believes that they should not be confined to a box, was ready for the new venture.

Reve is now adopting a holistic lifestyle approach, taking care of the physical, and then adorning it with beautiful pieces from jewellery to sandals and other accessories.

Now, after more than a decade in the business, the duo is still showing that they have a lot to offer to their homeland and looks forward to wherever their creative mind takes them.
