5 things to do this week
SURE, YOUR children are continuing their studies online, but there are things you can teach them yourself at home. And yes, everything is on the internet these days, but some things are internalised better if it's coming from you. It's also a great way to further bond.
How to cook - Dependent on how old they are, it's a good time to make them more competent around the kitchen. Start with simple dishes.
Car - Provided you know your way around your car, teach your children some of the basics of car care. Show them how to do stuff like checking the oil and how to change a flat tyre.
Finances - Some children are quite savvy on money, others not so much. So this is a good time to explain money management and how things like credit cards really work.
Music - You know what they listen to (and you probably don't like most of it). How about introducing them to some of the tunes you jam to? It might broaden their perspective on music, and they could see where some of their favourite songs actually sampled old hits.
The 'talk' - You know the story of the 'birds and the bees' that your parent or parents gave you when you were at a suitable age? Well, it's your turn now. Good luck!
