OGM T&T rated 'Best of Show' at Caribbean Addy Awards

OGM Communications T&T topped the region to win the prestigious 'Best of Show' and 'Best of Show TV' awards at the Caribbean Advertising Federation (CAF) ADDY Awards last week.

The coveted award was presented to the Woodbrook-based agency for its creative brilliance on the 2010 Digicel Value TT television campaign. Shot and edited by Viscuna Brothers Production, the campaign promoted the telecommunications company's mobile packages with a satirical spin on popular music icons of past and present.

Topping a competitive field of the region's best creative minds is a mammoth achievement for the young agency, which is approaching its fifth year of operation in Trinidad & Tobago.

"It is a great feeling to have your work recognised by a body as prestigious as the CAF," said Giselle Donawa, managing director of OGM Communications T&T.

"We have a great team, young, vibrant and dedicated and, as a first-time entrant, to be awarded the 2011 Best of Show TV award is just awesome and, if that was not good enough, we went on to win the coveted Best of Show overall award.

"Hats off to our client, Digicel, for allowing us this opportunity and kudos to the team here at OGM for the perfect executions."

As winner of the CAF 'Best of Show' ADDY OGM's Digicel Value TT television campaign now gains automatic entry into American Advertising Federation ADDY awards where it will compete with the best ad campaigns from the United States.

No stopping us now

"Just the chance to compete with the best ads is an accomplishment in itself. Agencies have been around for years and have never had that opportunity. There is no stopping us now," said Donawa of the achievement.

OGM is a regional full-service communications agency with offices in Jamaica, St Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago.

The CAF is a member of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), which represents thousands of advertising companies in the United States and the Caribbean. The ADDY Awards are sponsored by AAF and are the advertising industry's most comprehensive and prestigious competition, recognising creative excellence in numerous categories of various media types. This year, more 480 entries were judged from more 20 different companies representing Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, St Thomas, USVI, with new entries from St Lucia and Puerto Rico.
