Some 250 guests partied like rock stars at Mark and Paula Kovinsky's Tryall Club 'Harmony Hill' home on Wednesday night, stating in no uncertain terms, "this is our precursor to Thanksgiving".

There was no turkey, no macaroni and cheese, or evidence of cranberry sauce; what flowed like water at the annual event was Appleton Estate Special rums, red and white wines, rum cream and a host of top-shelf liquor.

The Kovinskys, who officially reside in Maryland, United States, had in the confines of their home, a melting pot of Americans, Canadians, Europeans and Jamaicans, celebrating the successes of the previous year.

"Last year we had Tarus Riley and he was a hit," Paula Kovinsky tells Today, excited and anxious to hear the strumming of the guitar, the beating of the drums and the opening of the larynx of the members of the royal family of reggae - Morgan Heritage.

Already, her veins had been massaged by the scintillating tactics of the talented crowd-pleaser, Fitzroy 'Saxie' Minott, who has become the face of most of the parties on the north coast.

Between Minott and the 'Don't Haffi Dread' band, the fabulous home-styled villa was transformed into an oasis for great music, good food, extraordinary conversations and networking.

Kovinsky had managed to pull out her neighbour - former heavyweight boxer, Lennox Lewis, a host of supporters to Jamaica, and senator Noel Sloley and his wife, Sharon. Also in attendance were acting managing director of Tryall, Sam James, his son, Sam James Jr, and the recently appointed commodore of the Montego Bay Yacht Club, Nigel Knowles, and wife Julie.

Obviously, this party has become a calendar event that many won't want to miss in the future.
