Go Jamaica Travel celebrates Chinese New Year
To ring in the Chinese New Year, and show gratitude to their supportive partners, Go! Jamaica Travel, the Caribbean's leading tour operator, took over the Windward Suite at The Knutsford Court Hotel on Thursday, February 19.
Formalities were short and sweet, and included a presentation from CEO Dave Chin Tung, who deemed it necessary to make a surprise donation of $75,000 to the Jamaica Netball Association.
It was a joyful moment for Marva Bernard, who expressed how elated she was, as the Sunshine Girls are in need of support at this time.
The 'red affair' kicked off with renditions from Chrome, who kept the audience entertained with roots reggae on the steel pan.
Similar to a family reunion, specially invited guests mingled as they were served a wide variety of delectable hors d'oeuvres - stamp-and-go (salt fish fritters), festival, cinnamon-flavoured bammy sticks, barbecued chicken wings, escoveitched snapper fingers, plantain-wrapped bacon with a sweet chilly dip, and jerked pork.
Go! Jamaica Travel Company Limited is an incentive travel and outbound tour company which was formed in 1995 in Kingston, Jamaica, and today still has much to celebrate as it topped the World Travel Award for 2014.
