Jamaica’s first bowling alley opens
Bowling is a favourite pastime for many persons across the globe, and Jamaica now joins the ranks of countries opening its very first bowling alley, JAMZONE, at Manor Centre, Kingston. The 22,000 square foot facility was officially launched on Tuesday, June 9.
Opened under the theme 'bowl, eat, and play', JAMZONE features a state-of-the-art bowling alley, a video-game arcade called Buzzers, and a bistro-style restaurant, Lucky Strike Lounge.
Developed by Alley Cat Entertainment Limited, JAMZONE is expected to provide wholesome entertainment for the entire family. As such, leading beverage manufacturer Pepsi Cola Jamaica, known to be a family brand, opted to partner with the recreational spot.
Pepsi Marketing Manager Mitchell Watson shared with Today: "Pepsi has long been associated with family activities and events. A facility like JAMZONE will add another dimension to the entertainment and social landscape in Jamaica. We are happy to be part of this amazing venture and wish the organisers every success," Watson said.
Beer giant Red Stripe has also come on board through its partnership with the Lucky Strike Lounge, which is a bar and lounge area where adults can enjoy cocktails and sumptuous dishes while watching their family and friends bowl or game.
The exciting 12-lane bowling alley has a strong appeal for both the young and young at the heart. It is open every weekday: Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. -11 p.m; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday - 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with some of the most affordable rates on offer.
