In the Jamaican flag, black depicts the strength and creativity of the people; gold, the natural wealth of the country and the beauty of the sunlight; and green represents hope and agricultural resources. For the National Honours and Awards Ceremony held at King's House yesterday as part of our annual Heroes Day celebration, many of the ladies sported black were beaming with national pride.
