Tuesday Talk

1. Some people are asking whether there is still a bureau of standards, for it seems that any and every type and shape of goods can now be imported into the island. Expired goods are on shelves or passed off as 'specials'. So who is protecting the nation?

2. The negative vibes about the National Prayer Breakfast appear to be increasing, for after many years of staging this prayer fest, killings, corruption, and criminality are as high as ever.

3. Should persons over 70 be required to take their driving test all over again? For one thing, reflexes are not as sharp as they were (though few would admit it), and their reaction time is slower. It's a question being mooted in light of recent tragedies.
