WESTERN BUREAU:

Rosh Ramchandani recently opened up his 22 Freeport home to an intimate group of foodies, who got front row seats to the culinary prowess of executive chef, Bridgette Young. Young paired her tasty offerings with Rosh Marketing's Spanish and Argentinian wines.

Young, now a top-class chef at the number-one oyster house in the United States - Elliott's Oyster House - had food aficionados excited. Their taste buds came alive with her open face cooking in the Ramchandani kitchen.

No commercial stove or venue could create the magic that Young displayed at the event planned for the man who lives for dining with his friends, Richard Ferdinand.

A tennis player by profession, Ferdinand, who understands what it means to dine in style, had in attendance, a few members of his 'One Drink Only' crew, while Young drafted her medical doctor sister, Suelyn Boucree to play the role of sous chef.

A cocktail reception, with some of Rosh Marketing's finest wines and dinner complemented by Young's uncle's backyard farming produce, was enough to satiate the appetite and win over a new set of admirers.

In fact, Young was greeted with loud cheers after she made her way from behind the stove.

It was an evening well spent with persons who have become true food lovers.

Today brings you the highlights of the event.
