1.Eating in church was something that was frowned on in days gone by. Back then, mothers were discreet with snacks for their infants. Now, it has reached the pulpit, much to the disgust of some congregations.

2.As it goes with Jamaica's complicated family situation, there are bound to be conflicts. The confusion at the recent graduation ceremony almost threatened to end in a brawl. Thankfully, good sense prevailed.

3.Small countries like Jamaica are pilloried for the retention of the death penalty. Yet, look at Saudi Arabia, where executions take place with great frequency, and this does not stop world leaders from genuflecting in the presence of its leaders.
