Good family fun day at the zoo
Last Sunday, the Hope Zoo came alive with the laughter and cheer of children, as Nestle Jamaica Limited and Chas E. Ramson joined forces and hosted the Gerber Day at the Zoo to reward Gerber babies and their parents.
Live entertainment, games, samples and exhibition booths interspersed with the voice of the event's host, Yendi Phillipps made for a great Sunday foray. A few of the hot-ticket items for the children included the bouncy house, the rock climber, the petting zoo, and the dilly-dally mechanical animal ride.
The family event was open to the public, giving parents and their children the opportunity to check out the various product offerings from Chas E. Ramson, Nestle, Scotiabank, and Baby Bop, among other partners.
Patrons gained access to the event by providing any two Gerber labels - as well as a Gerber 32 oz. plastic juice bottle, to encourage recycling, a Hope Zoo initiative that paired well with one of Nestle Jamaica's Creating Shared Value principles.
According to Brian Hanson, Nestle Jamaica consumer marketing manager, infant nutrition, "After looking at different venues, we heard about the Zoo Cycle initiative, and we thought it aligns perfectly with some of the principles that we hold close to us at Nestle, so it was a no-brainer to include it as part of our event. Zoo cycle is a Hope Zoo environmental campaign where persons are encouraged to recycle plastic bottles. It ties in with one of Nestle's Creating Shared Value principles- Environment, which was the reason an empty Gerber juice bottle was included as part of the admission for entrants,"
The Gerber Day at the Zoo event provided wholesome family fun in a safe and secure environment. Here are the highlights.
