ATHLETICS: Seven Jamaicans to compete at Stockholm Diamond League on Thursday

Novlene Williams-Mills and Nesta Carter are among seven Jamaican athletes on the provisional entry lists for the Stockholm Diamond League meeting in Sweden on Thursday.

Williams-Mills, who is looking to win the Diamond League 400-metre title, will face a tough field.

The 32-year-old Williams-Mills, who has an eight-point lead in the Diamond League race, will face off with Americans Francena McCorory, Natasha Hastings and Sanya Richard-Ross.

Jamaica’s Stephanie-Ann McPherson is also in the line-up.

Carter will meet his Jamaican teammate Nickel Ashmeade and American Michael Rodgers in the men’s 100 metres.

The other Jamaican down to compete are O’Dayne Richards in the men’s shot put, Roxroy Cato in the men’s 400-metre hurdles and Shillonie Calvert in the women’s 200 metres.
