McPherson, Williams-Mills showdown in Stockholm

Commonwealth Games champion Stephenie-Ann McPherson and Novlene Williams-Mills is set for another showdown when both meet in the women's 400 metres at the DN Galan Stockholm Diamond League meet in Sweden today.
The duo, who led a Jamaican medal sweep at the Common-wealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, number among seven Jamaicans who will be competing in the Swedish capital.
McPherson and Williams-Mills (14 points, the event leader are down to face crack Americans Francena McCorory and Sanya Richards-Ross. McCorory is the world leader with a season best 49.48 ahead of Richards-Ross' 49.66.
Williams-Mills has a season-best 50.05, while McPherson has a 2014 best of 50.40.
Another Jamaican Common-wealth Games gold medallist, strongman O'Dayne Richards - who threw a National and Games record 21.61 metres to pocket the shot put gold medal in Glasgow - will face a high-powered field that includes American Joe Kovacs, who leads the world with 22.03 metres; German David Storl (21.97m) and American Reese Hoffa, 21.67m.
National champion and Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Nickel Ashmeade and Nesta Carter are down for the men's 100 metres.
Glasgow sprint relay gold medallist, Schillonie Calvert, will run in the women's 200 metres. Calvert, who has a season best 22.88 seconds, will go up against Americans Torrie Bowie (22.18), Joanna Atkins (22.27) and Allyson Felix (22.34).
Roxroy Cato, who clocked a personal best of 48.48 at the National Championships, will line up in the 400 metre hurdles.
