Arnett Gardens defeated arch-rivals Boyz Town in a five-goal thriller in their Monday Night fixture of the Red Stripe Premier League to climb to second place in the points’ standings.

The match was played at the Anthony Spaulding Complex.

Arnett, who gave up a comfortable 2-0 lead in the second half, came back to win the game 3-2 courtesy of a late goal from substitute Oneil Thompson.

Jaron Richards had given Arnett a 2-0 lead, but Boys’ Town scored twice within two minutes to level the scores at 2-2.

Michael Campbell scored the first goal for Boys' Town in the 77th minute and Garfield Gillespie equalised in the 79th minute.

However, with the game heading for a 2-2 draw, Thompson produced the winner with a low header in time added on.

With the victory, Arnett Gardens moved to 11 points, three behind leaders Cavalier.

Boys’ Town remained in ninth spot on four points.
