Known as 'Rico' to his teammates and friends, the talented 19-year-old Donjay Smith, is surely the one player St Elizabeth Technical High coach Omar Wedderburn can ill afford to lose at the moment.

Blessed with immense talent and an acute eye for the goal, Smith has been in fine form since the beginning of the 2014 schoolboy football season, scoring 13 goals so far.

But there is more to the former Holland Primary student than just scoring goals. In the future, he wants to secure a scholarship to a top university or college and to pursue a professional career as a footballer.

His real passion however, is in coaching.

"Even though I want to play professionally, I really want to get involved in coaching in the future," Smith said.

At the moment though, it's the defence of the two titles won last year that he is most focused on, as his STETHS team looks to add to the growing list of titles they have won over the past five years.
