Williams eyeing win for Denham Town

Howard Williams, will lead Denham Town High's charge in midfield when his school faces tough St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) in the LIME Super Cup opening round today at the National Stadium.

Williams, playing his second season for Denham Town, has netted one goal, while providing a number of assists to his teammates.

The crafty midfield player who wears the No 7 shirt for his school is hoping he can lead his team past the daCosta Cup champions today.

"I will be doing my best to help my school win," he said yesterday.

The 17 year-old player who kicks well with both feet netted his only goal this season against Hydel High in his team's 2-1 defeat in the Walker Cup KO quarter-finals.

Williams expects nothing but a win in today's match.

"We are good enough to beat STETHS," he said. "We hope to be on our best game because we have been playing well all season," Williams said.

Williams who resides in Tivoli Gardens is a past student of Denham Town Primary School.
