Hollywood beat Carmel in Insports league
Hollywood defeated Carmel Seven 4-1 in the 2014 Institute of Sports (Insports) All-Island Community League Football Championship for the parishes of Kingston and St Andrew, at Hagley Park playing field last Sunday.
Carmel made an encouraging start by taking the lead, in the 20th minute, when Demar Allen scored.
However, it didn?t take long for Hollywood to erase the deficit, as Dwayne Rowe equalised four minutes later.
Omar Henry then scored in the 34th minute to give Hollywood a 2-1 lead, one they maintained until half-time, after which they pressed home their advantage.
Henry put his name on the scoresheet a second time to give his team some breathing space at the 50th minute, by extending their lead to 3-1.
Before Carmel Seven could catch their breath, Hollywood netted a fourth when Orlando Blake scored a minute later to complete a commanding victory.
Elsewhere, Conscious United clipped Hagley Park 2-1 through goals from Anthony Murphy and Oraine Campbell in the 15th and 83rd minutes, respectively. Sodeihi Osbourne scored for the losers at the 75th minute. Conscious led 1-0 at half-time.
Woodford Park and Harbour View played to an exciting 3-3 draw. Jerome Gordon (10th), Collin Gallimore (25th) and Horace Dixon (90th) scored for Woodford Park, while Harbour View?s goals were scored by Adrian Wallace (12th), Kevin Murray (68th) and Andrew Suckragh (84th). Woodford Park led 2-1 at the interval.
A second-half hat-trick by Tito Jackson earned Little Africa an exciting 3-3 draw with Kencot, who led 2-0 at half-time. Jackson scored in the 61st, 83rd and 90+2 minutes, while Kencot got their goals from Devon Gentle, who netted a double at the 30th and 37th minutes, and Stephen Carter (75th).
Ranch Twelve and Pembroke Hall played to a 1-1 draw after a goalless first half. Oneil Russell scored for Pembroke Hall in the 42nd minute, but Ryan Dean equalised at the 47th.
Upsetters gained a 1-0 win over Black Street United. The lone goal was scored by Dwayne Brown in the 50th minute.
The competition continues on Sunday with matches in the parishes of Kingston and St Andrew. On the same day, action will also kick off in the parish of St Thomas.
