Lady Sangeeta a banker
Wednesday's nine-race programme produced a stunning upset in the 61-1 outsider DUTCHROW in the seventh race, thwarting the efforts of punters to win the Pick-9 and first Super-6.
However, despite DUTCH-ROW's upset, the late super-6 was caught by two punters, each receiving over $450,000.
The Pick-9 will embrace races two to 10 on the United Racehorse Trainers' Association Day (URTA) programme, while the first Super-6 will be conducted from race one to six, the late Super-6 from race five to 10.
We look at the first Super-6 which commences with a competitive looking claiming race ($450,000-$400,000) to be contested by eight starters, including the recent winners SMOKIN MAN (Omar Walker up), LASHING FORCE (Robert Halledeen), FRANKENSTORM (O'Brien White) and CHEERS with champion and leading jockey Dane Nelson again in the saddle.
LASHING FORCE impressive
LASHING FORCE was quite impressive when scoring by 7-3/4 lengths from AQUILO over this trip in fairly good time of 1:07.2 and although stepping up in class, should make a brave bid now back to winning form.
The grey SMOKIN MAN also won on October 20 over the straight, beating the highly-fancied FRANKENSTORM by two lengths in a fast-run straight five race.
He is just as effective over the round course and although high in the weights with 56.0kg, is so fit that he will only go down fighting. I suspect that the Lawrence Freemantle trained FRANKENSTORM will prove more difficult to beat over the round course and with only 52.0kg, gets the nod over SMOKIN MAN and LASHING FORCE.
The bold front runner RAJA SARANGI represents the lone speed in the second race over 1400 metres and with Omar Walker retaining the ride following his good third recently, should stave off XQUISITE CHOICE and Nelson's mount DANOS LA PAZ.
Royal Dad Trophy
LOCKED AND LOADED, who was recently promoted to first in the Royal Dad Trophy after finishing second to the front running SPARKLING MICHAELA in the recent Royal Dad Trophy race over 1,820 metres, should follow up without the help of the stewards in the third for the URTA Trophy, again over 1,820 metres.
The Anthony Nunes-trained 3-y-o colt would have beaten SPARKLING MICHAELA had he not been hindered by her when attempting to go by in the last furlong and coming back in good nick, gets the nod over the American horse BIGBROWNGREYHOPE, who was a disappointing favourite in the Royal Dad Trophy.
The 2-y-o debutante LADY SANGEETA (Shane Ellis, working well) from the stables of Patrick Chang, is preferred to the Nunes-trained DOOLAHIN (Walker up) in the fourth race for maiden two-year-olds, while it should be the free-running GO TO HELL and the well trained LADY ABHIJITA (Nelson up) in the fifth and sixth races, respectively.

3. LOCKED AND LOADED/
4. LADY SANGEETA
