A diminutive attacking midfielder, Charlie Smith High's Chevon Crooks sent his school into today's Manning Cup final with a well-taken goal against Wolmer's Boys.

He will be a player to watch in today's final with his fine dribbling skills and ability to kick with both feet.

"He is a competent player and can make the difference for us in the final against Jamaica College," Charlie Smith's coach Jerome Waite said of the player.

Crooks, who came over from Tarrant High school three years ago, is in his second season for 'Charlie'. He has scored five goals in all competitions so far.

He is working towards a scholarship and the fifth-form student will be sitting eight subjects in the CXC examination next year. Crooks resides in Orange Villa.
