Ja fall for 173, T&T on ropes
Trinidad and Tobago's Red Force were struggling on 59 for five after dismissing the Jamaica Franchise for 173 on the opening day of their third round WICB Professional Cricket League match at Queen's Park Oval yesterday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Jamaica were led to their below par total by captain Tamar Lambert (87) and David Bernard (65). Six of the remaining nine batsmen, Jon Ross Campbell, Nkrumah Bonner, Andre McCarthy, Marquino Mindley, Sheldon Cottrell, Damian Jacobs (zero not out) failed to score as Jamaica were bowled out in 64 overs.
Imran Khan six for 52 and Marlon Richards three for 31 were the destroyers for the Red Force.
When the Trinidad Red Force batted they were immediately pegged back by Jamaican pacer Sheldon Cottrell who has so far taken four for 17 in nine overs. Evin Lewis was
run out for 25 while Jason Mohammed is unbeaten on 14 and will resume today with Akeil Hosein (0).
At National Stadium: Windwards lead by 63 runs with seven wickets intact.
