Half-time Report: JC lead Clarendon College 1-0 in Olivier Shield final
Melton Williams, Gleaner Writer
Jamaica College (JC) were leading Clarendon College 1-0 at half-time in the 2014 all-island Olivier Shield final at the Juici field in Clarendon.
Akeam Shackleford scored the lone goal in a half, which JC had the better of play.
The goal came in the 16th minute and was set up by Raffique Bryan, who weaved his way through a few defenders before he presented Shackleford with a gift just outside the six-yard box.
JC, which won the Manning Cup and the inaugural $1-million all-island Super Cup Knockout title, is searching for a third title.
The Olivier Shield brings together the Manning Cup champions and the daCosta Cup winners.
And for the first time, the Olivier Shield is now a one-leg final instead of a two-leg final.
JC won the title last year.
