Spanish Town Titans and Ocho Rios Chargers will meet in the final of the Tourism Enhancement Fund-sponsored Jamaica Premier League Twenty20 at Treasure Beach Sports Complex today. Match time is 1:30 p.m.

The contest will see the Danza Hyatt-led Spanish Town entering as favourites against Ocho Rios, who, at the start of the month-long tournament, were one of the lesser-fancied teams.

Spanish Town, which also features Jamaica Franchise captain Tamar Lambert, Shacaya Thomas and leg-spinner Odean Brown, qualified for the decider after topping the round-robin first round with a four wins, one loss record.

"It should be a good match, as coming into the final, both teams have been playing some good cricket," said Lambert.

Ocho Rios, meanwhile, have in their line-up Jamaica Franchise opener John Dillon Campbell, wrist-spinner Dennis Bulli, batsman Rasheed Outar, and young wicketkeeper Aldane Thomas. They booked their spot after getting the better of Mandeville Thunders via a semi-final play-off.

"Our chances are as good as the Titans'" commented Campbell. "Our bowling has been impressive all tournament, as well as our top-order batting.

Special guests at today's final will be former Prime Minister PJ Patterson; Minister with responsibility for Sports Natalie Neita-Headley; and Transport, Works and Housing Minister Dr Omar Davies.
