U20s for warm-up tourney

Ahead of their first game against Trinidad and Tobago in the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship on January 9th, 2015 at 8 p.m. at the National Stadium, the Under-20 Reggae Boyz will leave for the Copa Simon Bolivar Tournament tomorrow.

The tournament, which will be held in Venezuela, will see the Jamaican contingent going up against Peru, Paraguay and Venezuela, as they seek good match practice and a better opportunity for the coaches to see the players under match conditions.

The squad is also expected to play against Cuba's Under-20 team in Jamaica ahead of the tournament.

Theodore Whitmore is the head coach and Lenworth Hyde, Sr is the assistant coach. They stage final training sessions on Monday 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the JFF Football Academy.

Walton in CCC training squad

Walton turned down a contract to represent Jamaica in the first-class season due to his studies and was not part of the Professional Cricket League draft.
