Atlanta surge past Portland
PORTLAND, Oregon (AP):Paul Millsap had 27 points as the Eastern Conference-leading Atlanta Hawks beat the Portland Trail Blazers 115-107 on Saturday for their fourth straight win.
Jeff Teague added 22 points and the Hawks, playing the second game of a back-to-back, improved to 11-5 on the road, including six straights wins.
The loss ended a four-game winning streak for the Trail Blazers (26-8), who have lost just three games at home this season. LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland with 30 points and 12 rebounds.
The Hawks (25-8) led by as many as 20 points in the second half.
Elsewhere in the league, Houston rebounded from their most lopsided defeat of the season to rout Miami 115-79, San Antonio got their 17th straight win over Washington 101-92, and Chicago beat Boston 109-104 in overtime for their ninth win in 10 games.
Harden scored 28 points
James Harden scored 28 points and Dwight Howard added 23 for the Rockets, who were coming off a 111-83 loss to New Orleans on Friday.
The Rockets used a 19-point second quarter from Howard to build a double-digit lead against Miami and coasted to their biggest win of the season.
Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh scored 15 apiece for Miami, who have lost four in a row.
San Antonio overcame Washingtons fast start to beat the Wizards without the injured Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard.
Cory Joseph scored 19 points, Tiago Splitter added 16 and Patty Mills had 15 for San Antonio.
Washingtons last victory over San Antonio was in 2005, and their previous win in San Antonio was in 1999.
Pau Gasol had 29 points, 16 rebounds
Chicago got a big game from Pau Gasol, who had 29 points, 16 rebounds and five blocked shots, to beat the Celtics.
Aaron Brooks added 19 points for the Bulls, who were without starters Jimmy Butler (bereavement leave) and Mike Dunleavy (right ankle). Rookie Nikola Mirotic scored 10 points in his first start.
In other games, Ty Lawson scored 25 points and rookie Jusuf Nurkic provided a lift inside by blocking a career-best five shots as Denver ended a three-game losing streak with a 114-85 win over Memphis, which was playing on the second night of a back-to-back.
In Los Angeles, Chris Paul had 24 points and 12 assists and J.J. Redick added 17 points as the Clippers earned their third consecutive victory by routing NBA-worst Philadelphia 127-91.
Utah got a season-high 28 points from Trey Burke to beat Minnesota 101-89, and Kemba Walker scored 30 points to help Charlotte beat Orlando 98-90, ending a five-game losing streak.
