Humble Lion aim to continue unbeaten run
Humble Lion will look to improve on an 11-match unbeaten run when they face off against Boys' Town in a Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) football match at Collie Smith Complex today, starting at 3 p.m.
Since taking orders from coach Donovan Duckie, Humble Lion have been enjoying good form and moved into the top four with a 1-0 victory over Reno last Sunday.
Now, the Clarendon-based outfit will travel to town in search of a positive result. However, Duckie is aware that despite Boys' Town's woes, it won't be an easy clash, as they have not beaten them this season.
"Playing against Boys' Town will be even more difficult than the game against Reno," Duckie told The Gleaner yesterday.
"Boys' Town is not doing well in the league, but they are dangerous at home. However, it is important for us to get a positive result," he added.
Humble Lion will look to maintain their good form courtesy of Devon Hodges, captain Jermaine Christian, Ricardo Cousins, Wolry Wolfe, and Francois Swaby.
Meanwhile, Andrew Price, Boys' Town's long-serving coach, is aware his team need to win in order to stay away from the relegation zone.
"It is an important game, as all the others (teams) are coming up. We will continue to fight. We are playing well, but not clinical in front of goal," Price said.
"We have beaten Humble Lion 2-0 and drawn the other game 1-1, so we are not intimidated by what they are doing," he added.
Boys' Town will hunt victory through Rafeik Thomas, AndrÈ Dawson and overlapping defender Xavian Virgo.
