ASTON VILLA VS

STOKE CITY

Tim Sherwood begins life on the Aston Villa touchline having replaced Paul Lambert. Last week, he watched from the stands as Villa beat Leicester 2-1 in the FA Cup. He takes charge of a Villa side that has lost its last five in the Barclays Premier League and has gone 10 without a win.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS ARSENAL

Arsenal arrive in fifth place in the Barclays Premier League and could move into third if they win at Palace. The Gunners have won four of their last five in the league while Crystal Palace have lost one of their last seven in the league. Palace have won once in 20 league games against Arsenal, in 11 in the Premier League, in October 1994, but are unbeaten in nine visits and in a total of 14 have lost once - in November 1979.

HULL CITY VS QUEENS PARK RANGERS

Queens Park Rangers won their last away game, at Sunderland, but that ended a run of 11 straight away defeats. Now 17th, they face 16th-place Hull, who are unbeaten in their last two following a run of three defeats. Rangers last won at Hull in February 1970; since then they have drawn five and lost two of seven subsequent league visits. Rangers' Joey Barton has been booked in his last seven games.

SUNDERLAND VS

WEST BROM

Tony Pulis has lost one of his eight games in charge at West Brom and after the 4-0 FA Cup win over West Ham takes a confident Albion side to the Stadium of Light. In August, these teams drew 2-2 with Sebastian Larsson netting an 88th minute equaliser for Albion.

EVERTON VS

LEICESTER CITY

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson is under pressure after losing four straight Barclays Premier League games (and five of six in all competitions). Leicester have never won at Everton in the Premier League, though six of their eight visits have ended in draws. They last won at Goodison Park in December 1985.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR VS WEST HAM UNITED

Spurs have lost two of their last three Barclays Premier League games while West Ham have lost one and drawn two of their last three in the league and suffered a 4-0 reverse at WBA in the FA Cup last Saturday. West Ham won 3-0 at White Hart Lane last season - their first league victory there since April 1999. In August, though, Eric Dier scored a last-minute winner for Spurs after both teams had been reduced to 10 men.
